Wael Shawky @ MoMA PS1 - Queens, NY
Egyptian artist Wael Shawky is presenting his gorgeous work called Cabaret Crusades at MoMA PS1 until August 31st.
I've composed music for the first movie of this film trilogy that recounts the history of the Crusades through an Arab perspective. It uses ceramic and glass marionettes and it's really really beautiful and dark. The New York Times says it's "truly brilliant".
