Composer and bassist Florent Ghys, percussionist Owen Weaver, and the ensemble Mantra Percussion present an evening of music for percussion, electronics, and video. Colorful, exhilarating, and at times humorous, the concert immerses the audience in a captivating world of sound and image.

Same Face!
Same Face! is a 22-minute work for solo percussionist Owen Weaver, electronics, and video. Weaver performs on drums and glockenspiel alongside digital versions of himself playing the same instruments on screen.
A reflection on sameness and multiplicity in the digital age, the piece unfolds in five movements, each exploring a different relationship between the live performer and his on-screen counterparts.

Zemblanity and Other Serendipities
Zemblanity and Other Serendipities is a 40-minute work for percussion sextet, electronics, and video, performed by Mantra Percussion. Its interconnected sections unfold without interruption, exploring different approaches to the sonification of everyday images: a soccer match, a cat drinking from a bidet, rain falling into a puddle, and cars passing beneath a bridge.
The piece draws on a vivid and unconventional palette of mallet and metal percussion—including vibraphone, glockenspiel, crotales, homemade pipes, desk bells, and toy piano—alongside melodicas, drum set, and synthesizer.

First presented together at the Long Play Festival in Brooklyn in May 2026, these two works proved to be a compelling evening-length program of percussion, electronics, and video—warmly received by the audience and now available for programming.
